Preparing for DNC 2020 – What can PR professionals do to lend to the success?

Summer 2020 will be a watershed year for Milwaukee. Our city and state will find itself square in the spotlight of international attention when the Democratic National Convention comes to our community to nominate its candidate for the U.S. presidency. The moment is huge, and many will play a role. So what can we as public relations professionals do to welcome the masses, tell our stories and lend to convention’s success?

To shed some light, PRSA SE Wisconsin invites you to our Wednesday, June 19, luncheon at the Italian Community Center highlighted by a panel discussion with several integral in bringing the DNC to Milwaukee. Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary Sara Meaney, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce President Tim Sheehy, and VISIT Milwaukee President Paul Upchurch will shed light on what it took to attract this huge event, why Milwaukee was chosen, what to expect in the coming year, and how PR professionals can utilize their skills to help make this event the best it can be.

Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon.
