Volunteering provides public relations professionals PRSA images 004with opportunities to give back to their communities, the public relations field and communications students. It is also a great avenue for personal and professional development and a networking forum. PRSA encourages all of its members to consider utilizing their skills, experience and expertise by volunteering with PRSA.

Our committee chairs are always looking for volunteers and have a variety of opportunities available to fit any schedule. Volunteers must be chapter members. If you would like to volunteer or would like more information, please fill out this form and someone will reach out to you:

Marketing and Communications Committee
PRSA plenty of opportunities including writing blogs about industry trends, live-tweeting during a chapter event or drafting emails recapping the awesome things our chapter is doing.

Paragons Committee
This committee is responsible for coordinating the annual Paragon Awards competition. Help recognize the great work chapter members are doing by coordinating competition rules, promoting the Call-for-Entries, coordinating judging with another PRSA chapter and planning the annual awards luncheon.

Community Service Committee
The PRSA Community Service committee provides communications support to nonprofits in the Greater Milwaukee Area. It utilizes the committee members’ skills and knowledge across the spectrum of public relations to offer communications counsel and support.

PRO DAY Committee
PRO Day is a half day event PRSA hosts for college students. It typically begins with our monthly luncheon, followed by resume critiques and four breakout sessions on a variety of topics. The committee is always looking for volunteers to plan this event, provide resume critiques or facilitate a breakout session.

Mentor Program
The Mentor Program is an opportunity for seasoned PR professionals to connect with Young Pros at events and socials to share knowledge and experience in the communications field.
