Secrets That Strengthen Teams and Retain Talent

How can businesses – especially those in the Public Relations, Marketing and Communication industries – recruit and keep employees that can positively impact creativity and client business?

Based on extensive research, Genyne L. Edwards and Dominique Samari of P3 Development Group created their Opportunity Mindset, which focuses on four key elements – Leadership, Commitment, Curiosity, and Community Connections. The Opportunity Mindset identifies six essential ingredients for establishing programs and communication strategies that drive organizational strength, growth, sustainability, and profits.

Edwards’ and Samari’s presentation will focus on the element of ‘curiosity’ and share examples of how creating opportunities for employees to authentically engage and build connections creates an organizational culture that inspires, attracts and retains diverse employees. When employees feel like they belong and are connected to a community they are more willing to take risks, share ideas and collaborate.

During this presentation, PRSA members will:

  • Learn the power of curiosity engagement to build connections, trust and collaboration
  • Know how to develop strategies to quickly build relationships with other people and move teams toward innovation and inclusion.
  • Learn the importance of integrating curiosity into their communications work — with the composition of their teams, in their internal communications and through their outreach and engagement strategies externally.
  • Hear lessons learned from P3’s cross-sector diversity and inclusion work, including the recent MMAC Diversity Study
